The Streak is Over

I have had this wonderful streak of missing the dirty diapers! Jaxson has had a routine of only one dirty diaper a week, seems weird but they say its normal. Anyway, for 2 months now he never had a dirty on my watch, until tonight! I guess good things can't last forever but he just had to make sure that Dad had alot of practice. Needless to say, I hope the streak starts up again that is for sure!!

beggars night!

Had fun handing out candy for the first time tonight!  We had roughly 30 kids come by, only three of them said "trick or treat" and maybe four told jokes... Gotta say i am a little disappointed!  Jamie thinks it was bad that I answered a little girl's joke correctly.. the girl was devastated!! But seriously,  how can I not answer the joke,  obviously a ghost's favorite type of pie is BooBerry!!  I told her to come back with something better next year :)

We are giving out candy tonight for Halloween. We haven't ever given candy out before so we weren't sure how much to buy. So I just decided to buy a few bags of kinds that we liked. Well, I guess when I go to the store to buy candy I just can't help myself. Before we gave all the beggars the candy we had to let Jaxson have first dibs. Of course he couldn't eat any this year but he definitely picked out a few favorites for when he can eat it. If he is anything like his mom he will certainly have more than one favorite!

Halloween has officially started with the ceremonial 5 minute costume wearing with Jaxson. We kicked it off last night with the pumpkin carving, which I am sure everyone has or will be voting shortly on the best pumpkin! Jaxson was just so amazed by the glowing pumpkins, I thought he would just stare at them all night long!



Pictures of course of our little pea pod were mandatory. The neighbor offered to do a picture of the three of us. We don't really have that many since I am always the one with the camera! Everyone remind me to take more pictures of the three of us, they are nice to have!

The Showdown!

Beginning last year Dave and I started a friendly competition of pumpkin carving. It kind of happened on accident and now has become an event each year, this only being year two. Last year year only Elaine (Dave's mom) was the only one who had the honor to vote. This year we have started this blog just in time for me to figure out how to put a poll on here and have everyone chime in! Thanks for voting for the best pumpkin! Four months comes and goes

Jaxson was happy up until 3pm yesterday when we had our appointment with Dr. Fred. Jaxson passed with flying colors and is developing perfectly, he smiled, laughed, talked, and even tinkled on the doc before the shots. Then it was all down hill as they poked his poor little legs and put shiny bandaids to cover up the puncture wounds. Much worse on mom than baby I am sure! How did he size up? He is now 26inches long and he started at 21, and he is now 15lbs, and he started at 7.15. Although everyone that has held him is in disbelief with the 15lbs but he is growing and that is what we want! Lets compare.....

So it begins....

Blogging huh? Never really thought I would have a blog but seems like a good idea to keep everyone, even myself reminded and up to date with all the happenings with our new family. Everything changes so much everyday with our little guy, and with us as well as we settle in being a married family. We want everyone to not miss out on anything. What a good time to start with Halloween upon us. We get to dress Jaxson up in fun costumes and can put our favorite jokes that we hear tonight for everyone to enjoy. After much debate we decided to keep little Jax home since he can't eat candy anyway, although I can, and just hand out candy to all the witches and goblins. It won't be long before we will be braving the cold weather to go door to door so we will enjoy our nights at home for a few more years. I look forward to adding more to this for everyone to enjoy watching Jaxson learn, grow, laugh, and grow some more.
