New Lens Fun!

 I have been considering, debating, backing out, and convincing myself to invest in this new lens for months. We rent it each time we shoot a wedding and this last wedding I had the lens for an extra day and used it for two family sessions on Sunday. I loved it. It wasn't too big and heavy like I had imagined. (It is big and heavy but during the photos I seemed to not even notice) I even used it once for a while session with Alice strapped to my chest in the carrier! Totally doable. It is one of my top three must haves (eventually) and I am so excited to finally get one marked off my list. My kids are the most obvious and favorite choice of testing out my new gear. Sorry kids! Actually, I am not really that sorry....

Green Here We Come

 Jaxson finally tested for his green belt on Thursday! I made a slight error and we planned our summer trip over testing time so he had to wait an extra session. But he did great and is hoping he gets a stripe on his green belt. (Stripes mean you did exceptional during testing) He has really enjoyed being a part of taekwondo and I like that he has stuck with it. He started just over a year ago and has moved up four belts. He is starting to get into more difficult moves and seems to be enjoying it more now than during the "easy" steps. Getting kicks with "air" is his new favorite and breaking the "easy" boards are a breeze for him now. Watch out all future boyfriends of Alice, we will have a black belt in the house!

Summer Fun List

 We have been working on our Summer Fun list slowly but surely. I can't believe summer is almost over. I love to watch my boys learn and make friends, but I sure do love summer. Mostly because my boys love sleep and to wake them up in the morning is like walking a sleeping dragon. I get burned most mornings... Not looking forward to it!
