Spooned
Alice lately has been wanting to use her own utensils. She really concentrates on each scoop and is always so proud if any gets in her mouth. Black beans and cheese was sticky enough that it was a success!

Polished
When you smell the faint smell of nail polish but aren't painting your nails you panic. And in this case, rightfully so. Alice was going through my drawer in the bathroom and dropped a nail polish onto the tile. It broke and she was bringing me a part of the bottle. I am so lucky she didn't cut herself and only got a couple drops onto the carpet. The tile on the other hand.... was pretty pink. I always wanted pink grout!! :)

Dangerously Clean
I asked Jaxson to clean up his room which he did with a surprising amount of eagerness. About 15 minutes into him being upstairs he comes down with his tea-kwon-do sparring helmet on and asks me for a broom. After I found Asher was safe, I was pleasantly surprised he wanted a broom. Cleaning can be dangerous so you definitely need a padded helmet at all times!

Baby's First Pony
The adventures of Alice's first pony tail. It started with morning snuggles with brother. Watered the tomato plants on the deck. Finally Alice took her pony to the pool for an afternoon of sunshine and ice cream. The aftermath of the pony tail was pretty epic, and adorable.

Rainy Pool Day
We invited a friend to the pool with us today and since it was planned and the boys were excited the ominous clouds didn't keep us away. Only an hour into their pool time the showers started. Luckily it was just about lunch time so the boys shivered their way through lunch and ice cream as they patiently waited the pool to reopen. After an hour and half the sun came out and they were in the pool having fun right where they left off. The best part was they were the only ones that waited out the storm and had the whole place to themselves. Besides the 7 lifeguards whose lessons all got rescheduled. Our lifeguard to child ratio was just over 2 to 1.

Humpty Dumpty
Sweet baby Alice had a pretty epic fall the other day. She is lightening fast climbing the stairs lately and with supervision we do let her since the stairs are just a reality for her and us living in a two story house. She has to know how to climb them and it is better for her to learn then to avoid them. She has been climbing stairs since she turned one about without any major accidents. Until today...
She climbed all the way to the top and lost her balance and toppled backwards down to the landing. It was a bad fall. She wasn't supposed to be coming upstairs but like I said, she is too fast sometimes and she had heard my voice upstairs helping Jaxson get ready for his birthday party. Jaxson saw the fall and was very concerned. I luckily didn't see it. If I had I am sure I might have freaked out more than I did. She cried for a few minutes, nursed a little, and was back to giggling and running off. I know we got lucky.
It is somewhat ironic that earlier that day she had found one of the boys bike helmets in the kitchen and put it on before climbing up the stairs. Maybe she was letting us know that maybe we need to let her just wear a helmet all the time since as of late she seems fairly accident prone...

Swim Lessons and Sunshine
Alice gets to enjoy herself a bit more than last year while waiting for the brothers to have their swim lessons. She is too cute to handle sometimes...
Asher has really taken off this year. It is so incredible and Jaxson looks like he is on his way to try out for the swim team. He is really getting better at the strokes and breathing off to the side. I absolutely love having the opportunity to have private lessons thanks to Auntie C!
