Taking an adorable three year old in the cutest yellow outfit is cause for some attention. After Asher received his yellow boots and rain coat he couldn't wait to get out in those puddles. The problem was it didn't rain. For weeks.
Finally it rained so he got in his gear and we took a trip to the grocery store at almost bedtime. He was so excited jumping in every puddle he could find. And he also was a chick magnet for any girl shopping at close to bedtime. Left and right there were smiles or ladies stopping to ask him how old he was or his name. I am sure the adorable mini green shopping cart only added to cuteness factor. It was a long shopping trip to stop and thank everyone who told him he was the cutest thing they had seen in awhile.

Crazy Grandma Visits
March was an exciting month for the boys because Crazy Grandma came to visit for a week during Asher's birthday. We don't see her often since Washington is more than a quick trip away. I didn't take many photos during the week even though I am regretting it a bit now. We didn't do anything out of the normal, went to storytime and the science center. Enjoyed going to lunch and making dinner. My mom visited Jaxson's school for lunch and for his lego class. We spent the day with Asher on his birthday opening gifts and at his party.
It was so nice to have my mom be a part of our everyday and hopefully it isn't so many years before they get to enjoy it again.

Asher Joseph: Year Three
Dear Asher,
My sweet baby boy, you turned three. I love you more than anything and your smile lights up my whole world. This year I have watched you grow up so much and I am so lucky to get to spend so much time with you and am beyond lucky for you to be my son.
You smile more than anyone I know. You seem to be always so happy and make people around you happy. You are happy playing with friends or by yourself. You must see the good in everything and it just makes you smile. We all could learn something from your joy.
When you are sad or upset it breaks my heart. But you are still so adorable with your pouty little lip.
You have the biggest brown eyes that will forever make me melt.
You are such a good brother. You look up to him and help him when you can. You encourage him, in all things good and naughty. I am so happy you have each other and I hope you grow your relationship even stronger.
You learned new things this year leaving all baby-ness in the dust. You sleep in a big boy bed and use the potty to name a couple of my favorites. You learn new words everyday that make you sound five, not three. I am so proud of the little boy you are growing up into. And sad to see my baby leave.
You love to cuddle. Love. And I love to cuddle with you. There isn't a night anymore you don't want me to cuddle before you fall asleep. Some nights I am tired and go to you reluctantly but laying and talking always leaves me feeling so happy. And I know this time is fleeting and I need to willing to soak it up before you are too cool to cuddle.
You still love your blankie so much and it is never far from wherever you are. You need it when you are happy just as much as when you are sad. It is the last thing you are holding onto that you did as a baby.
Your independence took a big leap this year. You do much on your own and feel so proud when you accomplish it. I just watch from a distance to make sure your safe. And take pictures.
You love yellow. Like really really love it. You would want your whole world yellow, which it almost is at this point. You wear yellow shoes and yellow clothes. You want to eat yellow food, and eat it on yellow plates. The color yellow is such a happy color so it fits you perfectly. I am convinced it was this moment last spring that you began your love of yellow. You sat in a field of bright yellow dandelions for over an hour. You could have sat there all day. You were so in awe of it. I realize you might not always love it this much but the color yellow will always remind me of your beautiful smile and happy self.
You are such a great friend and anyone is lucky to have you as one.

I love you my sweet boy. I can't wait to spend this next year with you and watch you start preschool, make new friends, and learn new things. Although sharing you doesn't sound fun, I am excited to let others find out how amazing you are.

Party Fit for a Three Year Old
There was alot of yellow on Asher's big day. We filled his ceiling with yellow balloons after he fell asleep so he could wake up to a yellow surprise! It backfired a bit in that he woke up for a potty break and was scared to death. After a 2am session of getting him to calm down and eventually trying to get him to not play with balloons he fell back to sleep!
In the morning we started with presents. Alot of yellow presents, from boots, sandals, coats, shirts, and anything else yellow we could find all wrapped in yellow. Of course.
Then we jumped. And jumped and jumped. Asher has enjoyed SkyZone indoor trampoline park a few times for toddler time on Thursdays with his friends. We thought it would be a great place for a birthday party. They set up, enforced rules, served pizza, cut cake, and (the best part) cleaned up! You might have to pay for it, but I have to say it was a pretty easy party!
It was such a great day and I love watching my boys have fun. I love to celebrate their birthdays and making their special day truly special with all their favorite things. This was a happy day full of yellow for my boy who is my sunshine.
