One thing I did not have up in our other house was printed photos. It doesn't make much sense being a photographer... I know... but I always felt overwhelmed with what to print or where to hang that I just gave up. Channing is helping us put together a gallery wall so I have been really working on picking out favorite photos to print and display. My favorites I am finding are not your typical "hang on the wall, everyone looking and smiling" photos but that is ok. I want to hang my favorites that make me smile. I also am a little addicted to buying frames from Goodwill. Frames are super expensive if you are buying several so this was a way for me to get cheap, unique frames and with a little work and white paint it will look cohesive. At least we hope so.... :/
I have to admit that now that I am starting to print off some things to hang I like it and might run out of walls soon. I found this Say Chz picture on clearance at Hobby Lobby since it had one mark on it and knew I had to have it. Just for fun I snapped some photos of the boys with simple instructions... to "say cheese." I printed them as 12x12 square prints and put them on canvas using modge podge and hung them as a film strip. (It doesn't look like I paid tons for a nice canvas (because I didn't) but it definitely turned out better than I expected!) I considered doing one of each of us but thought that we would much prefer looking at the boys' adorable faces rather than ours walking up the stairs everyday.

Knock Knock
We went to dinner with Aunt Carol last night and on our way home there was a round of knock knock jokes happening. The recurring joke was knock knock, who's there, Joe, Joe who, Joe Mama..... but then Asher thought he would give us this gem.
Asher: Knock Knock
Jax: Who's there?
Asher: Penis
Jax: Penis who?
Asher: Butt
And nobody thought it was more funny that Dave... I guess boy humor never gets old, even when you get old. ;)

Sunday Snowday!
As Asher watched the snow melt over the last few weeks he was so very upset. He wanted to get out to play in the snow so bad but it was frigid after it snowed last and was dangerous to be outside. Then they got to enjoy some warm temps that they took advantage of by riding bikes all over the sidewalks of the new neighborhood. (our old house didn't have sidewalks and limited how far they could go)
As the snow started to fall yesterday they were so excited to get out and play in it. They woke up this morning and ran down to the big front window to check out how much had fallen. When they saw tons of snow and tons of flakes still falling they were even more excited! We put togehter what we could find for snow gear. Asher ended up in three pair of socks and toe warmers with Jaxson's rain boots on becasue of course I couldn't find snow boots from last year. And his snow pants I thought were 3t were actually 2t... oops. Jax was a little snug in size 5 snowpants but they didn't care one bit!
One thing I can do without doing too many times is getting kids in snow gear. It is basically a workout when your pregnant....
