There's a Tree in the House!

The day after Thanksgiving, instead of going shopping with the crazies, went to the store to get a tree and decorate it with Jaxson. This is his third Christmas but the first that he is getting excited in helping and seems awed by the twinkling lights and gifts underneath. His eyes were as big as saucers when we first brought the tree inside since he is used to seeing them only outside. But after the lights were up and we began to put on the decorations he caught on quickly. And he was pretty serious about his decorating duties carefully placing it on the branch. Unfortunately for the tree it always seemed to be the same branch, over and over again, that he was carefully placing it on until it was so heavy they were touching the ground. He seemed proud of his work though so we left it, until he went to bed that is.  The next morning he quickly ran to the tree and started to rearrange and we had to have a talk about how we only decorate the tree once a year, now we just look with our eyes. He seemed disappointed but walked away and hasn't tried since.

Jaxson is not happy about me making him stop for a picture.

Putting up the most important decoration of all

This was Jaxson's two favorite branches as he kept loading them up with (only blue) decorations until it just toppled over.
