It's Time to Roll

It was the third annual Big Wheel Bar Crawl for Marty Blount's birthday tonight. We have gone two years in a row, and I have to say they are not too lucky with weather. Last year it was snow/rain, tonight it was all rain and chilly. Hoping next year we have no precipitation. Dave and I aren't part of the fun group that go around on the big wheels but we did drive around in Dave's jeep. I guess that could count as a big wheel couldn't it? We spent a couple hours with the group then had a nice dinner with Jenny and James Graefe. Their little one Lillian was also with Grandma in West Des Moines so it worked out perfect. We stopped at the Firecreek Grill which was very good. We had alot of fun hanging out and learned a few things about James and his wild ways back in high school. (Just teasing!)




We were off to get Jaxson a little after 8pm and as soon as we walked in the door Jaxson ran directly to Grandma, whining and wanting her to pick him up. I asked if he wanted to go bye bye and he quickly shook his head and held on to Grandma's neck for dear life. We stayed a while and chatted and let Jaxson watch an episode of Yo Gabba Gabba, his favorite. He was dancing so hard to the theme song on the couch he almost flew right off. It was time to go when Jaxson grabbed a blanket and a pillow and started to put himself to bed.

Elaine always sends us updates when she is babysitting, the picture below is of Jaxson enjoying his dessert after finishing all of his dinner. He was obviously loving it!
