We changed the playdate this week from Friday to Thursday to enjoy the ridiculously beautiful weather. Eighty degrees on April 1st. It seemed like an April Fool's joke but it came true and lasted all day. We went to the park next to the zoo and found a picnic table in the shade. The boys took off and played and just as we sat and got comfortable we saw a stampede of kids running over the hill. As about sixty kids from the school on the corner came running at as literally yelling and screaming we scrambled to get our kids off the playground as fast as possible. MaryAnn was afraid that Ro, her son that is 4, would just walk back to school with them and we wouldn't even notice. We ate lunch while they ruled the playground and soon had the whole place to ourselves. And we took advantage for the next three hours. After a few rounds of swings, a ton of sand in hair and in socks, to a few bumps on the head it was time to go home for a long nap. Unfortunately both MaryAnn and I forgot sunscreen so the boys got plenty of vitamin D.
The playground littered with first graders.

Jaxson fell and bumped his head. Luckily MaryAnn had ice packs in her bag.
