And some pictures are your favorite even if they are completely out of focus. This one is one of those pictures.

Piano Man
For my latest photo project we had to do some selective focus pictures. This project we had to have only a small part of the photo in focus. I had decided I wanted to take some pictures of someone playing the piano, and my only willing subject was Jaxson. He will never pass up the chance to play with anything musical. He has been drawn to music since he was a baby. We probably haven't nutured this as much as we should but this project inspired me to change that. When he was an infant, if he would start crying in the car all we had to do was turn on a CD of children songs all done in a classical style and he would instantly calm down. We made a copy of it for Dave's, Elaine's, and my car. It was a serious savior in some of the craziest moments. Now when we are at Carols, Carol and him sit and play the piano on her beautiful grand piano. He seems to be more gentle than many kids trying to hit the keys with just one finger. And during this shoot he actually was "singing" while playing the piano. I should have snapped out of project mode and taken a video, it was so ridiculous cute.
