Fifth of July

The Sunday after the 4th seemed much more like a holiday at our house. We went to pick up his, now Champion Smoker, and decided to have a victory smoke. Not like that people!! We picked up the stuff to make beer butt chicken. Sounds apetizing right? It is very good! He also threw on some regular chicken breasts, corn on the cob. Leah and Holcomb and Blackman came over for the afternoon all bringing some sides along. Dave had the bag game set up in the yard and toys for the kids and we enjoyed the sunshine.


Now that Jaxson is walking Aubrey and him are able to interact more. Aubrey is still much more mobile and older in her play but Jaxson is catching up. We brought out the bubble blowing lawnmower, the slide, and the power wheels. The kids had more fun "helping" us play bags and walking up down the concrete stairs. Jaxson only fell on his face once. That is a victory considering how many close calls there were. This is why I love summer!
