Walk Off Game Winning Hit
Dave is two weeks into his second softball season. They have a 500 start right now but have had issues with their disabled list being the same size as the roster. In last night's double header they had just finished a big loss and were tied in extra innings in game two with the same team. They had the bases loaded and two outs ( I think... I was chasing Jaxson around). They walked Steve because something about forced outs, but also because Dave was up next and hadn't been hitting too great. The pressure was on. I could tell he was nervous but he walked up like he had been there before. With the second pitch he made contact. It was up, right past second base. It looked from my vantage point looked like it was going to be an easy catch. Luckily for our team it wasn't as much of an easy catch as it looked and dropped to the ground making it easy for a score. Because it was over time in softball it was sudden death. The other team was the chest bumping, middle aged MLB wanna be's and it was very entertaining to watch them lose a game that they had already checked a W next to in their minds. Hopefully the DL list can become shorter and the team can go undefeated from here on.
